Frequently asked QUESTIONS

  • We provide occupational therapy, lactation consulting, and bodywork services in Central Ohio. We offer in-clinic sessions in Lancaster, Ohio and Bexley, Ohio. Home visits are also available by request in the Fairfield and Franklin County areas depending on location and may be subject to an additional travel fee. Virtual visits are also available if you live out of our service area anywhere in the US.

  • We are an out-of-network provider for all major insurance companies. We require a refundable deposit to secure your appointment and the remaining visit fee is due at the time of service. We can provide a receipt of services (superbill) upon request with all the necessary information to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Reimbursement is subject to each individual’s insurance plan and does not guarantee payment in full. We recommend verifying your out-of-network coverage for occupational therapy services prior to your appointment if reimbursement is desired. We accept all major credit/debit cards, cash, check, or HSA/FSA cards for payment.

  • Via direct access in Ohio, a doctor’s referral is not required for occupational therapy services. Some insurance companies may require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement. We are happy to request a referral from your child’s doctor as well as communicate with them throughout our treatment plan to keep them updated on progress.

  • We provide customized, personalized care plans for each client based on their individual needs and goals. If desired, an informational phone call can be completed prior to scheduling to allow you to learn more about our services, locations, and pricing. At the evaluation, a full medical history will be gathered as well as assessment of your child to determine personalized goals. We will then come up with a plan for follow up treatment as needed based on what makes sense for your child and your family. A variety of techniques and strategies can be used to achieve your desired outcomes based on Dr. Sheridan’s background and training.

  • All sessions allow up to a full hour to ensure ample time for hands-on therapy, education, and questions.

  • As a small business that operates by reserving your appointment time solely for you, we kindly request that if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you contact us as soon as possible, but no later than 24 hours ahead of time so we have the opportunity to offer that time slot to someone else. Timely rescheduling requests will allow your deposit to be transferred to a future date. Timely cancellation will result in a full refund of your deposit. Cancellation or rescheduling requests less than 24 hours before the appointment will result in loss of your $50 deposit or a $50 charge (if a follow up visit) as we are unable to rebook this time slot with another client. A no show without any prior communication will result in charge of your full session fee. Cancellation fees are not eligible for insurance reimbursement. Arriving more than 15 minutes late for a scheduled in-person or virtual appointment may result in cancellation depending on therapist’s discretion and availability.

  • Our practice is primarily geared toward infants birth through 1 year old. We currently do not see any children older than 1 year for traditional occupational therapy. However, we do see people of all ages (even adults!) for bodywork which includes Craniosacral Fascial Therapy (CFT) and Myofascial Release (MFR). Please reach out with any questions on if we can see work with you or your child.
